Semi Trailers

Roll Up Doors

To keep your cargo safe, make sure your truck’s doors are strong and working properly. At Crown Point Truck & Trailer Repair, we understand the urgent need to get your trucks and trailers back on the road when a door is damaged or working improperly.

Floors

The floor is an often forgotten yet important part of your truck/trailer. A trailer floor is a vital part of the safety and delivery of your cargo. Trailer floors can be made of timber, aluminum, stainless steel or other strong metals and often need regular maintenance.

Lights

Lights are certainly one of the most important parts of every semi truck. As many routes cause you to travel early in the morning or late in the evening is important for safety reasons and clear driving keep the lighting system in the front, sides, rear, and top in good working shape.

Brakes

In our shop we realize that unlike car brakes, truck brakes have to be bigger and more powerful to stop the truck and its load. Since the brakes store braking heat in the disc brake or drum brake when braking, it needs to conduct it to the air gradually. We don't want any faulty brakes to put you and other road users at a risk, that is why we pay special attention to keep your brakes maintained and in good condition.

Roll Up Doors

The suspension is a collective name given to the system of shocks, springs, and linkages that connect a truck to its wheels and allow relative motion between the two. The suspension system has the following main purposes: keeping the occupants of the truck comfortable, contributing to the truck’s handling and braking, protecting the truck from wear and damage, maximizing the friction between the tires and the road surface; and increasing safety.

With a faulty suspension system, the truck’s performance and handling will be greatly affected. Also, driving on rough roads will not be an easy task. If roads were perfectly flat, suspensions would not be necessary.

Landing Gear

The landing gear is the part of a moving truck that is underneath the main body. It is the supporting structural framework of a truck. A landing gear incorporates the wheels, suspension, brakes, traction motors, and powered units.
