Air Conditioning Tune-Up

Air conditioning can often fall to a non-priority with many important mechanical maintenance issues needing to be tended to with a driver's rig. However when the hot summer hits, all drivers who haven't tended to their air are desperately regretful. Think about driving through Arizona or Georgia during 100 degree peak summer. Usually, with quick diagnostics, what ends up being the problem is simply the need for a recharge.
You might even have had some freon left but over the winter it leaked or evaporated out. We can diagnose this and get you filled up and set to feel that clean cool air no matter where you are and it will last all summer if there are no other problems.

Cleaning Vents and Airways
If your air conditioner problems turn out to be more than just a lack of freon, the next step is to look for mold, dirt, or other contaminants. There are certain vents and compartments that don't get used while you use the heat in the winter. Then you might notice a weird smell when you turn the cold air again. Mold and crud can muck up the airways while they are out of use. We go in and examine all the nooks and air ways of your air conditioner to make sure they are clean and working pristine. This and replacing all your filters can often fix the problem you might have, not to mention the air will be clean and crisp.

If the A/C problem persists the next thing we would look at would be your high pressure switch. This switch determines the right amount of refridgerant is going throw all the right places in your system. Without a proper working pressure switch, your A/C will suddenly stop working with out notice. If it is off at all the system will be utterly useless at cooling the vehicle.
